A Tour of the KidsJam Website

Welcome to the new and official KidsJam at Berklee Website. This first blog post will explain and highlight the new features of the site, as well as our Facebook Page and Mailing List. I hope that you get a chance to explore the site and share it with your children, friends, and family.

Website
The new website is now the one stop spot for anything and everything KidsJam. There is now a Google calendar that displays our current schedule and online registration for your convenience. This way you will always know when KidsJam is happening and if you use Google calendar, you can add our events to your own personal calendar. The About KidsJam section features a full description of the KidsJam program, as well as a FAQ section and detailed directions for driving, public transportation, and parking. Now it's time to talk about the fun parts about the website. Check out the Photos/Videos section to see photos and watch videos that were taken at KidsJam featuring professors Libby Allison and Charlene Ryan, as well as Berklee student teachers, parents and children. Kids Corner has a list of great online music games for the kids. These games are lots of fun to play and at the same time you will learn about notes, pitch, instruments, and more! Kids Corner will continue to add more children's musical activities. 

Facebook Page
Like us on Facebook! Our facebook page features daily updates on KidsJam registration, news, and other interesting music education related articles, videos, and more. You can now easily share KidsJam information with your Facebook friends and post comments/feedback on our page. If you own a smartphone, you can "check-in" to KidsJam on your mobile phone during our sessions at Cafe 939. Checking-in on Facebook allows your friends to see where you are and what you are doing. If friends are nearby, they might want to join along!

Mailing List
Join our mailing list to receive the monthly newsletter, as well as regular KidsJam updates. Each month we will feature a Berklee student teacher with their reflection of their experiences teaching at KidsJam. The monthly newsletter will also contain featured blog posts by Berklee music education students that will cover topics such as, musical crafts, children's music and book reviews, and much more! By subscribing to the mailing list, you will gain complete access to all KidsJam class announcements.
